Where do I apply to get my Spain NLV if I live in the UK? There are 3 BLS Visa Processing Centres in the UK that deal with non lucrative visas. Find out which one you should apply to.
If you’d rather watch the video, here it is below. Otherwise, read on!
Here is which catchment area you’re in, where to apply, and I’ll show you maps and contacts details. And maybe a few other useful bits of information too.
The Non Lucrative Visa used to be dealt with at three of the Spanish Consulates in the UK, namely London, Manchester and Edinburgh. But last year the Consulates passed on the visa processing to a private company called BLS.
Don’t panic, they’ve been processing visas around the world for quite a while, and they seem to have got the hang of it.
The BLS visa centres are still based in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Which one you should apply to depends on your residential address.
And you’ll need to prove you live there as part of your application so you can’t just pretend to live somewhere to get an appointment at one of the other two.
Let’s start way up north with the Edinburgh catchment area.
You should apply to Edinburgh if you live in Scotland and the Scottish islands, Northern Ireland, or any of the following English counties.
Cleveland, Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and the Tees valley.

Once you’ve found out which is the correct office for you to apply to, find the BLS Spain Visa website.
Choose your county. Then, under the BLS international logo at the top left, hover your cursor over Visa Type, then National Visa, then Non working residence visa.
You’ll find lots of information there about what documents you need, the fees, what kind of photo you need, the processing time and also the application form.
There are plenty of videos and live shows with more details about the Non Lucrative Visa on YouTooSpain’s YouTube channel and website.
And information and help about all the other visas too.
If you can’t find what you need, just ask in the comments on any video, or on the website, or you could join the YouTooSpain Facebook Community and chat with other people in your position.
