Section 1: Why Spain is Ranked #1 for Digital Nomads
According to VisaGuide.World, Spain has been ranked the number one country for digital nomads for the second year in a row. But what makes it so appealing?

Ranking Factors for Best Digital Nomad Countries

Internet speed (15%)
Taxation policies & tax-free length (20%)
Income requirements for visa applications (15%)
Cost of living (30%)
Healthcare system (10%)
Tourism popularity (10%)

Spain offers a unique mix of high-speed internet, affordable cost of living, and one of the best healthcare systems in Europe. Plus, there’s no shortage of cultural attractions, outdoor activities, and, of course, amazing food!
And let’s be honest—if you’re going to work remotely, wouldn’t you rather do it from a place with 300 days of sunshine a year? 😎☀️

Section 2: Why Málaga is the Best Digital Nomad Destination in Europe

🏆 #1 in Europe
🌍 #3 Worldwide
Savills, a global real estate consultancy, ranked Málaga as the best digital nomad destination in Europe, and 3rd best in the world, ahead of Miami, Bali, and the Caribbean! But why Málaga?
First, it’s a city that perfectly balances work and play. It has a lower cost of living than cities like Madrid and Barcelona but still offers a vibrant atmosphere. The city’s high quality of life, affordable high-end housing, and Spain’s popular Digital Nomad Visa make it an unbeatable choice for remote workers.
Tech companies are noticing, too. Google has set up a cybersecurity hub here, and co-working spaces are popping up all over the city to meet the needs of professionals working remotely. So you certainly won’t be alone, there are plenty of opportunities to meet fellow professionals, network with their businesses, and share top tips for living in one of Spain’s fastest rising cities.

In recent years, Málaga has made a huge leap forward in its transport links. With the highest speed trains in Europe, you can have meetings in any of the major cities within a very short time, and Málaga’s International Airport is continually breaking records for the numbers of flights and passenger traffic, with over 150 destinations worldwide. Business has never been so good!

Section 3: Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa – How to Get It!

So, how do you get Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa? Here are the key requirements!

Basic Requirements:

  • You must work remotely for a company outside of Spain
  • You need a minimum of three months of prior remote work experience
  • If you’re employed, your company must be at least one year old
  • If you’re self-employed, you must have at least three months of contracts with clients

💰 Financial Requirements:

  • You must earn at least €33,152/year (which is double Spain’s minimum wage)
  • If you’re bringing family with you, add €12,432 per year for the first dependent and €4,144 for each additional one

🏥 Other Documents Needed:

  • You’ll need a clean criminal record from the past 5 years
