Are you a digital nomad looking for your next adventure? While many regions in Europe are turning away remote workers, one area in Spain is rolling out the red carpet – and offering you a financial incentive to move there.”

Welcome to Extremadura, a hidden gem in Spain, known for its untouched natural beauty, rich history, and now – a unique opportunity for digital nomads. This lesser-known region is inviting remote workers to relocate with grants of up to €15,000.

With one of Spain’s lowest costs of living, Extremadura is the perfect spot for digital nomads seeking affordability without compromising on quality of life. Imagine spending 30% less on everyday expenses compared to Madrid, all while enjoying fast fiber optic internet in a serene setting.

So, who is eligible? Extremadura is looking for highly qualified professionals in the tech industry who can work entirely online. Whether you’re already in Spain or abroad, you can apply – as long as you’ve not lived in Extremadura in the past six months.

Women, young professionals under 30, and those moving to smaller towns with populations under 5,000 can receive a grant of €10,000, with an additional €5,000 if you stay an extra year. Others will receive €8,000, with a potential top-up of €4,000 after two years.

Ready to make the move? Applications will open soon, so keep an eye on the Official Gazette of Extremadura around mid-September. You’ll need to apply electronically and provide documents to prove your current residency, work status, and tax compliance.

With a grant waiting for you, a vibrant community to join, and a lower cost of living, Extremadura could be your perfect new home.
